TECHNOLOGY
Oxygena
Active ceramic that cleans itself — and the air around it.
Titanium dioxide is fused into the glaze during firing. Exposed to light, it triggers photocatalysis: a natural reaction that breaks down bacteria, odours and pollutants on contact.
How it works
PHOTOCATALYSIS IN THREE STEPS- 01 Light activates Natural or artificial light reaches the titanium dioxide particles fixed in the surface.
- 02 Oxygen reacts Humidity and oxygen in the air form active species that oxidise organic matter.
- 03 The surface cleans Bacteria and pollutants are broken down into harmless compounds — permanently, for the life of the tile.
Antibacterial
Reduces bacterial load on the surface, without chemicals.
Self-cleaning
Dirt adheres less and rinses away with water.
Air-purifying
Breaks down nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds.
Odour-reducing
Neutralises unpleasant smells in bathrooms and kitchens.
