Earth, fire and three generations

OUR STORY

In 1971 Giuseppe Gambarelli lit the first kiln in Solignano, in the heart of the Modena ceramic district. Today his grandchildren lead a group that exports to more than fifty countries.

One of the first companies to convert to single-fired tiles, Gambarelli later opened a modern plant in Buonconvento, near Siena, dedicated to porcelain stoneware — joining the Emilian tradition with the colours of Tuscany.

Milestones

1971 Giuseppe Gambarelli founds the company in Solignano Nuovo, producing red-body double-fired tiles.
1980s Early switch to single-firing with the Monosint, Sintergam and Monogam lines.
1990s New porcelain stoneware plant in Buonconvento, Siena; Selene joins the group.
2000s Launch of Oxygena active ceramic and co-branded luxury collections.
